The unique PS System®
The most wanted PS system, exclusively created by Perfosistem, involves the application of a liquid latex or chloroprene coating over previously perforated foam.
After a vulcanisation process, the latex or chloroprene completely envelopes and closely bonds with the foam, including the through perforations, making the product absolutely unique.
The result is a disinfectable and impermeable mattress. In addition, the perforations distributed across its surface ensure constant air regeneration and transpiration.
Air Flow Control (AFC) is an advance unique to the PS system. As indicated above, the chloroprene or latex coating protects the exterior foam, but at the same time, only permits the air in the interior to flow through eight ventilation valves. This controlled flow allows the foam mattress to semifloat on air.
The PS system, which is patented worldwide, has been designed and developed to aid the maintenance of sanitary conditions, being not only in the best interests of users, health centres and their staff. Continued reuse: Due to its impermeability, the mattress can be washed and disinfected in the usual manner – soap and water, bleach, ammonia, steam clean, etc. This assures its continued reuse. Economy of use.
PS ADVANTAGES OF USE
Impermeable, completely washable and disinfectable. The chloroprene or latex covering acts as a glove, totally protecting the interior foam core from both liquids and gases, so the mattress can be washed and does not suffer
from oxidisation. It also applies to micro-organisms, thus the mattress is completely hygienic and disinfectable.
Breathable: The through perforations create a ‘chimney effect’, which continually supplies fresh air from the mattress’s interior, meaning the air which comes in contact with the body is perpetually circulated.
Athermic: The vulcanised liquid latex is a great thermal conductor and dissipates excess heat.
Non-flammable: Complies with regulations UNE 597-1 and 597-2.
Prevention of bedsores: Due to the control exercised over temperature and humidity, along with pressure distribution (Air Flow Control).
Total adaptability to articulated beds: Its elasticity makes it a wear-resistant product and means it always retains its shape.
